We believe in fair pricing, as well as living wages for our staff. Our dental hygiene fees are set based on the Alberta Dental Association & College (ADAC) 2019 Alberta Dental Fee Guide. When considering fees, it is important to remember that a dental hygiene clinic has a large overhead cost for professional staff, up-to-date technology and equipment, sanitization, and tools and products used in treatment. The Alberta Dental Fee Guide was created as a suggest fair pricing structure for all dental work. Dentists do not have to charge the fee guide - they can adjust their prices based off of factors that affect their individual business. However, many insurance providers base the dental coverage they offer on the Dental Fee Guide.
If you are unsure about your dental coverage policy, we would be happy to help you better understand it. Never hesitate to call and ask - sometimes it can be confusing! If you do not have insurance, learn more about our Karma Program offered to all for a flat rate price.
The best way to limit the cost of your dental care is to get regular preventative dental hygiene cleanings, according to ADAC. Our pricing structure is fair and made to be as accessible as possible while still working within the Alberta dental system in place.
The cost of your visit will be based off of several factors and so it is very difficult for us to predict the cost of your visit until we get to know you and the inside of your mouth. The longer it has been since you’ve been to a cleaning, the longer it will take, so the price may go up. If you have a set budget, we will work within your means - just be sure to have a conversation about it with your hygienist at the beginning of your appointment.
We direct bill to all insurance companies. This helps you so you don’t have to spend the time making a claim to get the money from your insurance provider. If you have any questions about what your insurance will cover, please give us a call and we can help you figure it out.
We offer a 20% discount to all post-secondary students with valid student I.D.’s. We accept all post-secondary student plan (with the exception of University of Calgary’s undergraduate program’s plan), and can direct bill to your insurance so you don’t have to make a claim.
